You sound like my brothers. They used to make frozen hamburger patties on a waffle iron.

    1 Can tuna
    1/4 tsp smoked liquid
    1 egg
    1/4 c bread crumbs
Diced onion, if desired. (Dried is ok too.)
    salt and pepper to taste

    Make tuna patties or loaf

    1 can tuna(14.75 oz)
    2 cups soft bread crumbs
    1/3 cup finely minced onion
    1/4 cup milk
    2 eggs
    2 Tablespoons minced parsley
    1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon each salt & dill weed
    Dash of pepper

    TUNA PATTIES:
Drain the can of tuna, reserving 2 tablespoons liquid; flake.
Combine all ingredients including the 2 tblsp of liquid.
Shape into 8 1-inch thick patties.
Pan-fry on both sides in 2 tablespoons oil or butter until golden brown or grill it.

    Other option -
    TUNA LOAF:
Drain the can of tuna, reserving 2 tablespoons liquid; flake
Combine all ingredients including the 2 tblspns of liquid
Place in a well-greased 8.5 x 4.25 x 2.5 inch loaf pan or shape into loaf on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.

This makes 4 to 6 servings.
