Need it for a cookout, just thought it would be fun to try…

I need a quick and easy “summer” recipe for a get together my friends are hosting. (a house warming party) They asked that we bring a dish and the recipe (recipes will be added to their new home’s cookbook as a house warming gift). And because it is a BBQ i think many people will bring “grilling” recipes i would like to bring something that won’t need to take up space on the grill that maybe already over flowing with meat. Any ideas for a side dish or a sweet, perhaps even a mixed drink or punch?

I just bought a small house, am a single parent. The neighbor next to me, on the corner, has 3 dogs, 2 are aggressive (pitbulls) which he leaves in the yard all the time.
He is ‘retired’, and around all the time. I can’t work in my backyard without a ‘visit’ from him, asking me all sorts of personal questions…in the guise of friendliness. He has done things to my property while I wasnt home ‘in order to be helpful’ without asking (trimmed a hedge, ect.).
He states he keeps a gun, and the ‘guard dogs’ to protect his house from all the ‘gang members’ in the city. Yet, he says he helps these young gang members because they dont have father figures, and one came to his house the other day, he said, oh thats a ‘blood’. He said all I have to do is make a phone call if someone bothers me, I got so and so down the block to move.
His dogs bark off and on all the time. After 5 months of this, and also sometimes music blaring in their backyard, I went over and said their dog seems like they want to come in (to his non-employed 25 yo son), he put him in the backyard kennel, that didnt work. I went back over there, and said this isnt working, they said, I am cleaning, he is not coming in, and I said ok, I will just call the police then.
My daughter was grilling in the backyard, and I went out to check on her, the neighbor (dad) was back there said I want to talk to you, I said not now (I was MAD), he repeateded that I repeated, ect, then he said I am not going anywhere, and he said ‘I run this neighborhood’. I walked away to the neighbors across the alley.
Is this a veiled threat? How can I get them to leave me the f alone, and respect others peace. Also should I be fearful?

I was wondering where I could find someone who could take a picture of my backyard and draw out some kind of landscaping. I have a large backyard with trees and I want a outside fireplace and grill area. Does anyone know any good websites for landscaping?

Okay I was planning on having my reception catered but then I realized how expensive it might get and we are on a tight budget.
My idea is this: Bring a couple of grills to the reception; put on some hamburgers and hot dogs; have some potato salad, salad bar, and chips/dip; beverages would include a keg, some wine, and margaritas; have some fun.
Is this too tacky? Or can I pull it off?
Oh yeah if this is okay is it rude to ask someone in my family to cook the meat on the day of the reception? I was thinking my uncle or something but I would hate to impose and say “you need to cook the meat” How do I approach this?
I am having the wedding around 3:30-4 pm…max 50 people are coming. Thanks for the input.

I am planning a surprise party, bbq “luau” for my mothers 50th birthday. I am having a bit of trouble planning the food.
So far i am deffinately going to have chicken and beef kabobs that i found GREAT recipes for. I am also going to make twice baked potatoes, ramen noodle salad, regular salad, Appetizers: cheese puff/bites, pizza snacks. I am trying to make alot of finger-ish type foods b/c it is going to be in a very small backyard.
I want it to be great b/c i am inviting ppl from my mothers job as well as my own. I also have an uncle who is coming who cannot eat anything with dairy. Is there anything i can make that would be elegant/fun and has no milk in it? I was thinking about pizzas on the grill w/sauce and vegetables almost like a vegan pizza. Any other ideas would help! Thanks so much
* i kind of want to keep the luau theme, i am very big on the pin up girl /50’s style, so its going to be a bit vintage as well. Hope this helps*

Ok so the problem is:
Charcoal (C) and propane (C3H8) are used as fuel in backyard grills. (a) Write balanced chemical equations for the complete combustion reactions of C and C3H8. (b) How man grams of carbon dioxide are produced from burning 500.0g of each of the two fuels?
I already did part a, but can’t seem to figure out how to do part b. Anyone willing to show me how to do it? (please don’t give just answers…I really want to learn how to do it so I won’t have to keep posting questions here haha
